Troy Billett was the Director of OffGridBox. Prior, he was hired temporarily by Techstars, an American seed accelerator with a market capitalization of $18.2bn USD and accepting less than 1% of startup applicants. The global accelerator invested again after Troy joined the OffGridBox team as a part of an oversubscribed round of $2m. He participated in other global accelerators and awards including MassChallenge, Greentown Labs, the Not Impossible Awards and the Mohammed bin Rashid Initiative for Global Prosperity.

He was the Chairman of Billett Inc (now Wilshire.io), an outsourcing company he founded in 2013. With a million in ARR, the company uses brilliant minds from the developing world to help scale startups with affordable and custom management software. After working with dozens of startups, he started angel investing, focusing on technologies for economic development.
Troy advises organizations and startups including Hexa Ventures, WorkAround, Eden GeoPower, and Bending Spoon, which he provides guidance and introductions for fundraising and sales.
